Four Fantastically Festive Things to Experience at the Festival of the Holidays

The holiday season is here! The halls have been decked and we can basically smell the "chestnuts roasting." One great thing about the holiday season is that it means the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays has arrived. This year's holiday festival season is shaping up to be very merry. So here are 4 things "yule" not want to miss.




#1- The return of the Candlelight Processional!


Each night, a celebrity narrator tells the story of Christmas, recounting the biblical tale of a savior born in Bethlehem. Woven into the production are stirring songs of hope and joy performed by the orchestra and massed choir.

This year, the following celebrity lineup will lend their talents to the performance:

  • Bart Millard December 8 through December 10

#2 The Holiday Kitchens around the World Showcase


Take a stroll around the world and sample tasty treats from holiday kitchens celebrating the most magical time of the year. This year's Holiday Kitchens booths are open daily from now till December 30th! With new booths like Chestnuts & Good Cheer and fan favorites like Bavaria inside the Germany Pavilion, you're sure to leave EPCOT feeling festive and FULL!





#3 The Holiday Cookie Stroll



Grab your Festival Passport and journey through the World Showcase on a search for tasty treats!


During your travels, you’ll notice that there are 5 official Holiday Cookie Stop locations––each one offering a different decadent dessert! Visit each one to purchase the tasty treat and commemorate your visit with a stamp in your Festival Passport!


Ready to sweeten the deal? Once you’ve collected all 5 stamps, you can present your Festival Passport at Holiday Sweets & Treats to receive a specialty cookie!

#4 Holiday Fun and Entertainment


Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition Scavenger Hunt

This year everyone's favorite snowman returns to the World Showcase in the form of a festive "hide and seek". Guests can set off on a merry quest, hunting for holiday traditions that Olaf has gathered—and lost—along the way! Simply purchase a map and stickers from select Festival merchandise locations to get started!


JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season – Showcase Plaza Stage

Experience the joy of gospel and rhythm and blues as the JOYFUL! ensemble performs holiday music in celebration of Christmas and Kwanzaa.

Las Posadas Celebration – Mexico Pavilion

¡Feliz Navidad! Join the fun and pageantry of Las Posadas with dancers, piñatas and the music of Mariachi Cobre.


Chinese Lion Dance – China Pavilion Catch a glimpse of this colorful performance that brings good fortune and happiness in the Lunar New Year.
